Marion Machine’s field machining capabilities have many benefits to our valued customers.  We have a large boring bar and offer bore welding in the field. This allows us to quickly repair bores including counterbox bores, main bores, etc., in the field– typically within a few days’ time– eliminating costly expenses such as freight and downtime to customers.  Repairs that could potentially take multiple weeks can be completed in under a week by cutting out the shipping times.

We are also able to repair straight keyways, which helps maintain stability and eliminates vibrations within the shaft. These features on a crusher are very important to keep it in tolerance and reduce risk of galling and other serious mechanical issues. By maintaining bores and keyways, maintenance costs and downtime of the crusher can be greatly reduced.
