Tucked away in Marion, North Carolina, Marion Machine is a well-kept secret.
David, a Process Engineer at Marion Machine, describes the area: “I would call Marion a progressive, growing township at the foothills of the tallest mountains in eastern US.”
David has lived in Marion, NC, for over 40 years and said that within the last 15 years, Marion has really put itself on the map. With a Walmart, Lowe’s, plenty of great places to eat, and the home of Mt. Mitchell (the highest peak east of the Rockies), Marion has it all.
Now that he is part of the Marion family, his commute to work is 12 minutes, as opposed to over an hour. David started at Marion Machine on March 1 and was shocked by the size of the machines that Marion Machine works on.
When he’s not working David loves spending time on his pontoon boat and also working on restoring his 50s Chevy Pickup. It is a real beauty!
