When we say go big or go home, we mean it, and when large parts need to be fixed the obvious choice is the vertical boring mill, or the Roman, as Marion Machine calls it. The Roman is used for facing, boring, shaping, tapping, reaming, drilling, milling, and contouring.

Marion Machine has a large Roman boring mill that has been servicing large crushers for many years. It has a live milling and drilling spindle used for threading and max turning capacities up to 21’ and 6” with a work piece height of 12’.

It has CNC controls including motors and drives that improve speed, quality, productivity, and accuracy. One of the parts that the Roman was used for is this Metso 54 x 74 Gyratory. Each piece of this enormous part was machined on the Roman, which is proof that it is fully capable of handling your large equipment and our staff is here for you!
