Sales Engineer – Western North Carolina
Must be willing to travel, have experience in sales , college degree is preferred , heavy equipment aptitude , mechanically inclined, good communication skills.
Reviews contractual requirements as summarized on a sales order and schedules the work required in such a way that the repair/machining will be completed in an efficient and timely manner. Responsible for all documentation on orders and quotations from time of quotation until the order has been completed including history of jobs completed.
Secures orders from existing and potential customers by means of visiting the customer facility or contacting by phone.
Secures opportunities to quote on customer requirements.
Follows up (by phone or visit) on quotations submitted to customers.
Establishes professional customer relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and management
Submits reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders and issues concerning customer
Performs assigned duties with minimum personal supervision.
Reviews and becomes familiar with all drawings, specifications and other documents concerning assigned projects.
Communicates and coordinates with appropriate department personnel to fulfill all contractual requirements.
Coordinates resolution of manufacturing issues and revises schedules when necessary.
Prepares accurate, detailed labor and material estimates for jobs proposal.
1 (5) years’ experience in the industry.
2 Outside or inside sales experience.
3 Excellent communications skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, well organized.
