Marion Machine Attends SCAA’s First Mid-Year Meeting
August 3–6, 2025 | Sonesta Hilton Head Resort, Hilton Head, SC
Marion Machine joined producers, suppliers, and association leaders in Hilton Head for the South Carolina Aggregates Association’s first-ever Mid-Year Meeting. We attended alongside our partners at NorX and Mellott, using the week to trade insights, strengthen relationships, and bring back ideas that keep our customers’ equipment running at peak performance.
A Week Built for Connection—and Takeaways
The event opened with a coastal welcome reception that set the tone: relaxed setting, real conversations, and plenty of opportunities to meet new faces. Monday’s Business & Education sessions delivered practical perspective—from market forecasts to leadership fundamentals—that we can apply directly to shop planning, field service coordination, and long-horizon rebuild scheduling.
Afternoons and evenings mixed in some friendly competition and networking, from a beachside cornhole tournament and the President’s Reception to Tuesday’s golf tournament at Palmetto Hall and an energetic Casino Night. Each touchpoint gave our team time with producers and partners to compare notes on uptime, safety, and cost-per-ton.
Why This Matters to Our Customers
For Marion Machine, events like SCAA Mid-Year are part of how we stay aligned with the challenges you’re managing every day. It allows us to gain practical insights from peers on reliability, safety, and training.
Gratitude to the Organizers
Our thanks to the SCAA team for a well-executed inaugural event, and to everyone who took the time to connect with us throughout the week. We’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to learn together and support the producers who keep this industry moving.

Our Metso HP 800 Mainframe had a loose shaft and we re-fit the shaft back to OEM specs with a 2-week-turnaround to get a 3.5-million-ton-plant back up and running.
