Employee Spotlight: Tate – From Satellites to Rock Crushers
At Marion Machine, we’re always excited to welcome fresh talent to our team, and our new Sales Trainee, Tate, is already making an impact! With a background in customer service and a passion for learning, he brings enthusiasm and curiosity to the rock-crushing industry.
From Satellites to Crushing Solutions
Before joining Marion Machine, Tate worked as a Customer Service Technician for a satellite communications manufacturer. However, he was drawn to the opportunity to grow in a new field and gain hands-on experience with the different types of crushers that come through our shop. The idea of seeing these massive machines in action and learning the repair process firsthand made Marion Machine the perfect place for his next career move.
The Best Part of the Job? The Adventure.
Tate enjoys every aspect of his role, but what excites him most is traveling to quarries, witnessing the different equipment in operation, and connecting with customers. Each site visit brings a new learning opportunity, and he thrives in the fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Outside of Work: Staying Active & Enjoying the Outdoors
When he’s not working, Tate keeps busy with fitness and sports—hitting the gym, playing basketball, and cheering on his favorite football and basketball teams. He also loves the outdoors, spending time at the lake and fishing whenever he gets the chance.
Fun Facts
- He recently got married in December 2024—congratulations, Tate!
- He’s a proud dog dad to Hank, his Aussiedoodle (a mix of an Australian Shepherd and a doodle).
We’re excited to have Tate on board and can’t wait to see him grow in his role at Marion Machine. Be sure to say hello next time you see him around! Interested in joining our team? Visit our careers page!
